FARS Countries Ladder
The Ladder will take place from 00:01 Z January 1st until 23:59 December 31 2016
It consists of FARS members keeping a progressive log of DXCC countries (entities) worked, updating scores each month until the final aggregate.

Contest type QSOs are certainly not required and the normal ragchew is the norm for this activity.
There are 3 sections split into 3 levels in order to provide interest for all classes of licence and members’ preferred operating modes.
This gives a total of 9 different sections and members are welcome to take part in more than one section. QSO's on all HF bands and 6m are included.
SSB Section | Split into 10w max, 50w max and 400w max
CW Section | Split into 10w max, 50w max and 400w max
DATA Section | Split into 10w max, 50w max and 400w max
Logging
Use of SD (Free download EI5DI. com ) in DXpedition or Special event mode will automatically update the score as each QSO is logged and entry consists solely of member’s callsign , Section(s) and claimed country total(s) SD also provides the country name and indicates if it is a new one for the band as the prefix is typed in.
Other software is available.
Scoring
Claimed scores will be the aggregate of countries on all bands or the indicated band for single band entries. There will be no checking of claimed scores all of which will be posted as received. Claimed scores will be sought by Chris M0KPW every two months on the Yahoo Group and the results publicise on the clubs website (this page) and via the Yahoo group.
Members are welcome to note any notable QSOs or particular countries of interest each month, which will be added to the monthly statement.
Sections should be scored separately and not added together. Each country will count once only on each band, regardless of multiple prefixes for many.
AWARDS
At the end of the year there will be a small prize awarded for the winner of each of the 9 sections.
